Monique Craig is a hoof researcher, farrier, consultant to farriers, rider, author, and founder of EponaTech and EponaShoe. She has a BS in Computer Science Engineering, formerly studied art and won sculpture awards, and now gives seminars and lectures on the hoof, trimming, shoeing and equine biomechanics. She has published several papers related to the hoof and soundness, and gives lectures at the college level in hoof biomechanics. A tri-lingual native of Switzerland, she became a US Citizen in 2001. John Craig has a Phd from Stanford in engineering. He is the author of "Introduction to Robotics: Mechanics & Control" which is a leading university textbook for the engineering field of robotics. He has authored several papers related to robotics as well as equine biomechanics, and has chaired conference sessions on biomechanics and the connection between machines and the biomechanics of animals. He has researched the hoof and shoeing systems for the past decade, and was a speaker at the International Hoof Summit in Cincinatti in 2005. He can be reached at john@eponatech.com
Professor Matt Burd is in the Animal Science unit at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.As the equine reproductive physiologist for the animal science department, Burd teaches equine reproductive physiology, systemic physiology, equine biomechanics and is an adviser to the equine breeding enterprise.
Chair for the American Farriers Association Equine Research Committee (2000-2006).American Farriers Association educator of the year (2005).Committee member AAEP Vet/Farrier relations (2005-2006).As an educator, farrier, and researcher with California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA.Michael has developed concepts that have challenged the minds of many farriers and veterinarians.He is an internationally know author and researcher.
